A cactus as a gift? Even for kids? We must be kidding! But we don’t, cause this one is perfectly safe. Our cactus gift box comes with a soft touch (from the pipe cleaner) that you constantly want to feel. Filled with lots of sweets and some tiny toys, it’ll make a great giveaway at your next BBQ! Here is how it’s done…
Materials needed: colorful cardstock, x-acto knife, scissors, ruler, hot glue gun, pencil, pipe cleaners in multiple colors, favors as treats
Step 1: Fold a sheet of cardstock in half. Draw the outline of a cactus.
Step 2: Cut along the outline so that you have two identical cacti. Cut several strips of cardstock with a width of 4 centimeters.
Step 3: Fold the long edge of the strip in about 1 centimeter and then fringe cut evenly about 1 centimeter up to the crease.
Step 4: Put some hot glue on the fringe edge and place it along the edge of the cactus until the whole form is completely surrounded. Repeat this on the other cactus but this time leave some room to the edge. This way, you can slide both pieces of the box together easily.
Extra tip: It helps to bend the paper over a finger before gluing it on the cactus, so that it adapts to the curves more easily.
Step 5: Decorate the cactus with colorful pipe cleaners to give it a fun texture. Finish it with a paper flower and fill it with lots of small goodies.

As Valentine’s Day is getting closer and closer, we think about all we are on fire for: lots of color, a good meal, spending time with our partners in crime… Why not combine everything and have a romantic candle light dinner or throw an epic Galentine’s Day party?! We’re here to help you with the first step – crafting the perfect invitation for this occasion. Best thing is: you can download these hot notes as a printable, but also the ombre candles are quick to make.
Materials needed: tall narrow glass, pot, white candles, wax crayons in various colors, white cardstock, scissors, glue, tape, pen, flame printable
Step 1: Break one white candle into small pieces and put them in the glass. Add half of a wax crayon. (Start with a little color, as this will be easier to get the ombre look.)
Step 2: Heat everything in a water bath until it’s all liquified.
Step 3: Immerse a new white candle several times to different depths and let it dry a few seconds in between. For example, dip 1/3 of the desired coverage the first time, then 2/3, then 3/3. Adjust these depths as you wish to create your own ombre effect.
Step 4: Print the flame printable, mix and match the flames as you like. Write your note on the card.
Step 5: Wrap the lower part of the card around the candle and seal it with a bit of colorful tape.

On Valentine’s Day, we like to be heart to heart with our loved ones. Let’s show that too! Grab some paper and put heart on heart on heart on heart to make the easiest (and loveliest) garland ever seen.
Materials needed: cardstock in red, pink and white, a large ruler, cutting mat, rotary cutter or other cutting tool, stapler
Step 1: Cut strips of cardstock, which all have the same width (at least 3-4 centimeters). The bigger the hearts, the wider the strips should be.
Step 2: Shorten the paper strips to the same length. 15-20 centimeters is best.
Step 3: Tack two paper strips together at one end.
Step 4: Now bend the paper strips over to form a heart shape.
Step 5: Hold the ends together at the bottom and place two new paper strips. Staple everything together.
Step 6: Repeat steps 4 & 5 until the garland is as long as you want it.
